2011 Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept
The Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept is an advanced extended-range plug-in hybrid that combines an electric drive with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept is equipped with a lithium-ion battery from Deutsche Accumotive, which promises to offer an emission-free driving range of up to 100 kilometers (62 miles), that can be extended to a total of 600 kilometers (373 miles) with the use of the small displacement petrol engine.
This Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show yesterday. Thsi concept can complete the standard sprint from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 11.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 150km/h (93 mph).
The electric drive on Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept generates a peak power output of 100 kW (136HP) and a continuous output of 70 kW (95HP), while the gasoline unit delivers 67-horsepower (50 kW).
In the Auto Show event is a chance for Mercedes-Benz to introduce B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept to the public. This Mercedes-Benz B-Class E-Cell PLUS Concept plan to enter production in 2014.
