2011 Mopar Dodge Charger Limited Edition
The new Mopar ’11 Charger special outfitted with custom upgrades inside and out. The limited edition Charger follows in the footsteps of last year's Mopar version of the Dodge Challenger and will be built in 1,000 units, 900 of which are destined for the U.S. and 100 for Canada.
The car will be available for order from any Dodge dealer with an MSRP of $39,750, which includes destination fee.
The interior, there bespoke leather wrapped seats and steering wheel stitched in Mopar Blue thread, engine-turned instrument bezels, a special identification plaque identifying the car’s production number and a custom Mopar key fob. All cars also come with bright pedal covers, Mopar floor mats and front-door sill entry guards.
The Dodge Charger gets power by same 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 370 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque found under the bonnet of the redesigned 2011 Charger R/T. However, the company promises improved acceleration thanks to the "Super Trac Pac" option, which includes a specially calibrated engine controller that is said to match maximum engine power and transmission shifting to the differential for the Mopar '11 Charger.
The Mopar-ized Charger sticks with the company’s five-speed W5A580 automatic transmission, but as you’d expect, it gets a “Pistol Grip" shifter combined with Auto Stick. To improve acceleration, the differential features a new 3.91:1 final-drive ratio, with the company claiming that initial tests have returned a 0-to-60 mph (96 km/h) sprint time in the low five-second range.
The car also gets sports changes to the chassis including the addition of larger solid stabilizer bars (front: 30mm, rear: 20mm) and cross-car braces at both the front and rear shock towers.
2011 Mopar Dodge Charger is available exclusively in "Pitch Black" finish with twin racing stripes in a blue hue. Aside from the wheels we mentioned previously, the the styling changes on the outside are limited to a Mopar front grille and rear-deck badge.
